Former Los Angeles Lakers guard Dennis Schröder has officially listed his exquisite Tarzana mansion for $6 million, an estate he purchased for nearly $4.3 million in early 2021 shortly after joining the Lakers from the Oklahoma City Thunder. This upscale property, specifically designed with a professional basketball court, perfectly catered to the German-born athlete's lifestyle. After a series of team changes, including multiple stints with the Lakers and his recent trade to the Charlotte Hornets, Schröder and his wife, Ellen Ziolo, are now moving on from their Southern California residence. The estate, once offered as a luxury rental for up to $40,000 per month, reflects the couple's decision to transition from the region as Schröder's professional journey continues across the NBA.

The Tarzana residence, constructed in 2017, encompasses approximately 8,400 square feet across two distinct structures, featuring seven bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, and two additional powder rooms. The interior design is characterized by an open-concept layout, where polished porcelain tile flooring, soaring ceilings, and expansive Fleetwood doors create a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces. Modern conveniences are integrated throughout the home, including an elevator and a sophisticated Control4 smart-home system, complementing its minimalist aesthetic. The main house alone contains six bedrooms, with a grand entry foyer that guides visitors past a media room and a den to a central gallery. This impressive space is highlighted by a gracefully curving glass-railed staircase, beneath which a custom wine vault is cleverly integrated.

The main living area, a spacious great room, combines a comfortable living area with a dining space, both centered around a striking double-sided fireplace. Adjacent to this is a contemporary kitchen equipped with a waterfall island and a convenient walk-in pantry. Upstairs, a private wing houses the expansive primary suite, which includes its own fireplace, a dedicated private balcony, and dual closets. The en-suite bathroom is lavishly appointed with horizontally veined, bookmatched marble, adding a touch of refined elegance. Additionally, the upper floor features four more bedrooms, three of which also boast private balconies, while a fifth bedroom on the main level, complete with its own bathroom, is currently configured as a home office.

The walled and gated grounds of the property span over a third of an acre, offering a private oasis with a zero-edge swimming pool, an integrated raised spa, and a Baja shelf. An outdoor kitchen provides an ideal setting for al fresco dining and entertaining, complementing the illuminated concrete basketball court. A rooftop deck, complete with a wet bar, offers panoramic views and additional recreational space. A separate, two-story guesthouse, covering approximately 1,100 square feet, includes an upstairs bedroom, a downstairs loft, a full bathroom, and two half-baths. An attached two-car garage and a motor court capable of accommodating up to four additional vehicles complete this impressive estate, providing ample space for residents and guests alike.

The listing of this Tarzana estate marks another chapter in Dennis Schröder's dynamic NBA career, as the 33-year-old German point guard continues his journey as a prominent player in professional basketball. Known for his resilience and adaptability, Schröder, originally drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in 2013, has played for numerous teams, including the Thunder, Celtics, Rockets, Raptors, Nets, Kings, and Cavaliers, alongside his notable two tenures with the Los Angeles Lakers. His recent move to the Charlotte Hornets, combined with his leadership role as captain of the German men’s national basketball team, underscores his ongoing commitment to the sport, necessitating a change in his residential base.
