Lizzo Sells Beverly Hills Home at a Significant Loss

Lizzo, the acclaimed musical artist, has recently concluded the sale of her contemporary dwelling nestled in the exclusive Beverly Hills mountains. This transaction saw the property change hands for $11.15 million, marking a substantial financial setback of $3.85 million compared to its acquisition cost in 2022. The residence had been on the market for over a year, undergoing multiple price reductions from its initial offering of nearly $16 million in late 2024 before finally finding a buyer.

The journey of this unique property involved a notable transformation. It was once owned by Harry Styles from 2014 to 2016. Following his ownership, the original structure was entirely dismantled and meticulously reconstructed by Simo Design and Fischer Construction. In 2019, it was acquired by Aaron Bay-Schuck, the CEO and co-chairman of Warner Brothers, for $11 million. Lizzo later purchased this sleek, modern home, characterized by its wood and stone elements, from Bay-Schuck for $15 million in 2022. The recent sale was facilitated by James Harris of Carolwood Estates, with Patrick Martin of Sotheby's International Realty representing the buyer.

Situated within a private, gated community, the home boasts an impressive 5,400 square feet of living space, featuring three bedrooms and five bathrooms spread across two levels. Its L-shaped design is complemented by expansive glass windows that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding canyons and hillsides. The property occupies a third of an acre on a downward-sloping lot, ensuring privacy and stunning vistas. Neighboring residents in this prestigious enclave include prominent figures such as Lisa Vanderpump, Jessica Alba, and Demi Moore.

The estate is replete with an array of luxurious amenities designed for both relaxation and entertainment. The backyard is a serene oasis, adorned with oak trees and highlighted by a 58-foot zero-edge pool, complete with an integrated spa. A fire pit conversation area and several Ipe wood decks provide ample space for outdoor gatherings. Inside, the home features a private movie theater, a state-of-the-art recording studio that doubles as an office, and a dedicated gym and wellness area. A massive dual-sided fireplace serves as a focal point in the living room, which seamlessly connects to an eat-in kitchen equipped with oil-finished black walnut cabinetry, Cielo quartzite countertops, and high-end Wolf appliances. The kitchen also provides direct access to a covered outdoor lounge area, ideal for al fresco dining. The upstairs primary suite spans nearly 1,000 square feet and includes a floating soapstone fireplace and a striking concrete soaking tub that appears to hover above the landscape.

Following the sale of this Beverly Hills property, Lizzo has transitioned to a new residence. She acquired a renovated midcentury modern dwelling in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles from actor Jeremy Renner in November 2024 for $12.4 million. This move marks a new chapter for the artist, as she continues to manage her impressive real estate portfolio.

The Beverly Hills home, despite its luxurious features and celebrity lineage, presented a challenging sale for Lizzo, underscoring the complexities of the high-end real estate market. The significant price reduction ultimately facilitated the transaction, allowing the artist to move forward with her new acquisitions.
