Innovative Wall and Floor Coverings Unveiled in Dezeen Showroom
A collection of novel wall and floor coverings has recently been introduced on the Dezeen Showroom platform, presenting a variety of choices for contemporary interior design. This curated selection includes everything from wallpapers adorned with classic patterns by William Morris, to unique marbles featuring dramatic blue veins, and handcrafted-style square tiles. These products represent the innovative contributions of numerous international design brands and companies.
Among the showcased items is the Omogenea surface collection by Dimore Surfaces, an Italian brand. This series draws its inspiration from the raw, textured aesthetic of volcanic rock. The Omogenea collection is characterized by its matte, finely-grained appearance, offered in an array of neutral tones that evoke a moody yet sophisticated ambiance.
Further enriching the offerings, Morris & Co, a heritage English brand, has unveiled "The Unfinished Works." This new line of fabrics and wallpapers reinterprets designs by William Morris and John Henry Dearle, whose original works are preserved at The Huntington museum in the USA. The collection prominently features Morris' signature botanical motifs, meticulously reproduced by the brand's enduring Chiswick studio.
Italian company Ceramiche Keope contributes to the tile selection with its Grace tiles, which artfully replicate the subtle beauty of limestone. This particular design references the stone quarried in Saint Antoine d'Auberoche, France, known for its cloudy visual texture and its historical use in significant architectural structures. The Grace tiles offer a light and neutral palette, suitable for various design schemes.
Antolini, another Italian stone brand, introduces the Pangea Blue marble, a distinctive material renowned for its vibrant, dramatic blue veining. This eye-catching surface is ideal for creating impactful focal points, particularly in areas like master bedrooms and bathrooms, where its unique aesthetic can be fully appreciated.
Iris Ceramica Group presents the Breccia Rosa 4D slab tile, a porcelain product that faithfully mimics the soft, dusty rose hues of natural marble found near Verona, Italy. Characterized by a light pink base streaked with beige and white, its porcelain composition ensures versatility across numerous applications. Astek, a US brand, showcases its Eterna Nouveau wallpapers, which feature oversized botanical motifs. This series draws inspiration from aquatic, carnivorous, and garden flowers, with each design available in multiple color options, offering a distinctive aesthetic for wall treatments.
Marazzi, an Italian tile manufacturer, expands its Lume tile collection with a new square format. These tiles maintain the handmade appearance characteristic of the Lume range, now offering users a choice between various colors such as Bone, Caramel, Emerald, Ocean, White, Blue, Green, and Turquoise, alongside options for a subtle leaf-shaped motif. PoliLam, a US brand, introduces the Milano Impressions surfaces, which are inspired by Italian stone types and terrazzo. These versatile surfaces can be utilized for lining rooms or in furniture production, thanks to their selection of neutral colorways and styles. Finally, Australian surface brand Laminex unveils its 2027 Colour Collection, comprising ten new colors and patterns. Each design in this collection is informed by Australia's diverse landscapes, featuring four wood grains and six block colors, ranging from the dusty tones of Red Centre to the deep, moody hues of Smoked Bluegum.
This extensive range of wall and floor coverings from various international designers and brands demonstrates a commitment to innovative materials and aesthetic diversity. From natural stone replications to intricate botanical patterns and vibrant color palettes, these products cater to a wide spectrum of design preferences, offering both aesthetic appeal and functional versatility for modern interiors.
