Jonah Hill's Former Malibu Residence Returns to Market for $13.3 Million

Actor Jonah Hill's former residence in Malibu Colony has once again become available for purchase, listed at $13.25 million. This property, initially sold by Hill in 2022, subsequently faced foreclosure proceedings before reappearing on the market. The Oscar-nominated actor had significantly personalized the home during his ownership, transforming its exterior to a deep charcoal gray and enhancing its interior with bespoke features. This latest listing highlights the continuing allure of celebrity-owned properties in prime locations, offering a glimpse into the luxurious lifestyle once enjoyed by the film star.

Jonah Hill, renowned for his roles in films such as 'Moneyball' and 'The Wolf of Wall Street,' made the decision to depart from his native Los Angeles three years ago. He and his wife, Olivia Millar, sought a quieter life in a small town in San Diego to raise their two children away from the constant glare of Hollywood. This move prompted the sale of his two properties within the exclusive, guard-gated Malibu Colony enclave, strategically situated between the Pacific Coast Highway and the ocean, close to upscale dining and the Malibu Pier.

One of these properties, an oceanfront dwelling, was successfully sold last year for $14.5 million. The other, a landside residence, was acquired by cannabis investor Hartley Wasko in 2022 for $11.1 million, a notable $2.1 million profit from the price Hill paid Richard and Laurie Stark, co-founders of Chrome Hearts, in 2021. However, property records indicate that Wasko transferred the deed of this landside home to a private lender in Boca Raton, Florida, in late 2025, in lieu of foreclosure. Now, the property is back on the market, represented by Dustin Nicholas of Nicholas Property Group.

Constructed in 1980, the three-story house is accessed via a private gated courtyard. During Hill's ownership, the actor undertook significant renovations, most notably repainting the formerly white exterior in a striking charcoal gray. Since then, the home has been refreshed with a white exterior, complemented by black-framed windows, and updated interiors. It now boasts approximately 3,700 square feet of living space, featuring four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

A standout feature of the residence is its impressive living room, characterized by a double-height ceiling and a two-tone, floor-to-ceiling fireplace. French doors open from this space onto a mostly decked, hedge-lined backyard, which includes an outdoor kitchen equipped with a professional grill, an alfresco dining area, and a tropical lagoon-style pool and spa enveloped by palm trees. Adjacent to the living area, a dining space with a spoked chandelier flows into a wood-paneled kitchen, complete with a stainless steel apron-front sink and high-end appliances.

The upper level houses a primary suite, featuring a sitting area with a fireplace, accented by sleek ebony-hued slatted walls and integrated cabinetry. This suite also offers a private balcony and a luxurious bathroom, outfitted with dual vanities, an expansive custom shower, a soaking tub, and a dry sauna. The property culminates in an extensive third-level roof deck, providing ample space for relaxation and offering partial ocean views, along with exclusive key access to a private beach.

The re-listing of Jonah Hill's former Malibu Colony home underscores the dynamic nature of high-end real estate, particularly when associated with celebrities. This property, which has seen significant transformations and multiple owners in a short period, represents a unique opportunity for discerning buyers seeking a blend of luxury, privacy, and celebrity provenance in one of Malibu's most coveted locales.
